Responsibilities
Performs the nursing process in conjunction with an RN, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for an assigned group of patients, appropriate to patient age, in a supervised environment. Performs the nursing process for patients in more complex situations with assistance and supervision. He/she knows the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Department and supports those premises. This position treats/cares for patients of all ages. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited OR Tech Program.
- Documentation of Operating Room Technician training
- CT CPRBLS
- Knowledge of scrubbing skills and instrumentation Knowledge/demonstrated ability in care and sterilization requirements of instruments and trays
- Ability to read English Able to read computer/monitor screens and computer printouts
- Able to perform mathematical calculations
- High level of concentration and attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team, prioritize work and make decisions regarding patient care, implements nursing actions in conjunction with an RN Able to interact appropriately with others
Preferred:
- At least one year prior experience as an OR Technician in an acute general hospital
Pay Range
$31.15 - $35.29 /hourSalary:
$31.15 - $35.29 per hourEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
